In February 7, IMPACT-EV consortium got together for the kick off meeting of the project. The working session was held in the Faculty of Economy and Business from the University of Barcelona, attended by the eight partner institutions participating in the project.
The meeting began with the participation of representatives from the Governments of Catalonia and Valencia, and prominent members of the business sector. Serving as an example of how to pursue political and social impact, all of them presented their experiences of how different successful actions, identified under the FP6 INCLUD-ED project, have served as the basis for the development of public policies and about how these policies have lead to important social impacts in extreme poverty contexts. The INCLUD-ED project was selected as it is the only research in SSH in the Framework Programme highlighted by the European Commission in the list of 10 success stories.
