Lídia Puigvert. Chair of the Gender Committee for IMPACT-EV. Professor of Sociology at the University of Barcelona. Former member of the Advisory Committee on Violence against Women of the European Women’s Lobby.

She was responsible for the gender dimension in the former INCLUD-ED and WORKALO projects. Her research on the “other women” and the prevention of gender violence has been published in top ranked journals such as Violence Against Women and Journal of Social Work Practice, as well as in several books among which highlight “Women and social transformation” with  Judith Butler and Elisabeth Beck-Gernsheim. This research has influenced the recognition of non-academic women in the feminist movement (see http://dromkotar.org/en/?page_id=77). Puigvert was involved in the first research in Spain on gender violence at the university, which results were included in the Spanish Law for Effective Equality between Women and Men (2007) and led to the creation of the first protocol for the prevention of sexual harassment and response in a Spanish university
